The Forgotten Experiments is a short-list of early studio experiments Michael explored when first purchasing equipment for his home recording studio. It features his first co-write with friend Michelle, who wrote and sang the lyrics on "Gutter Bottle".
The Forgotten Experiments is the first of four EPs in the Experiments series. It was produced by Michael around 2006 at his home studio in Regina, mastered by Case Mastering in 2018, and released on April 11, 2023, after a release party at Studio 12 in November 2022.
The cover is a photo Michael took when he was 11, on a camping trip in Alberta with his dad.
What's next
The next two instalments, The Experiments EPb and EPa, are being finished for release together. EPb includes "Long, Cold Run", a Top 25 finalist in the Canadian Songwriting Competition.
